This badge will help you find out about ranger guides while you are still a member of the guide unit.

Syllabus

From the 1988 Badge Book

1. Be a participating member of your guide unit.       The following clauses are to be done after your 13th birthday.
2. Visit a ranger guide meeting.    Take part in a ranger guide activity eg bush walk, service project, indoor activity.  Note:  participate in some of the planning for either the ranger guide meeting or the ranger guide activity attended.    Report back to your guide unit on activities, program and points of interest from your visit.
3. Find out about the ranger guide investiture and what is required to be invested as a ranger guide.    Attend a unit council meeting, or discover how the unit council works and how the office bearers in the unit perform their duties; discuss with the ranger guide leader or guide leader how this differs from the patrol system in the guide unit.                   The badge is awarded at your last meeting in the guide unit and you wear it to your first ranger guide meeting.
